2026 D3 XC Rankings: Post Pre Nats
The highly anticipated weekend did not disappoint. Well, depends who you ask. Pre Nats lived up to the hype and Paul Short was canceled due to the weather. Hard decision to make for the race organizers as a lot of these teams lose out on interregional competition and your ranking committee at D3GD doesn’t get to see what these teams have in store.
On the Men’s side, Wartburg moves up to #3 after taking down Hopkins and La Crosse. Stevens Point makes the largest jump after being criminally underrated from 20th to 6th.
North Central Men looked strong at the Louisville Classic. We’ll see how they fare against D3 comp at Augustana. Colby men solidified their ranking taking down CMS and Lynchburg at Pre Nats.
Trine men enter the rankings after winning their race at Louisville. Rounding out the field is UW-Whitewater, they took down a few ranked teams at Pre Nats.
Williams women looked really tough and ran so well. Looking forward to the battle between them and NYU at Conn College in two weeks.
UChicago move up from #6 to #3 on the Women’s side. They had a strong pack at Notre Dame and mixed it up well with Toledo.
Tufts moves to #7 after finishing 4th at Pre Nats. Hope jumped a few teams to finish 8th and move to #14.
George Fox made the long flight from the PNW worth with a 13th place finish, beating 7 ranked teams. They’re the only new addition to rankings.
We’re sponsoring our own newsletter. Glory Days Track Club has been an idea we’ve been mulling over for a long time. We rolled out the Instagram in the winter, and had a few athletes run under our club name. Things got in the way, but now we’re back with merch for the club.
We’re rolling out two different hats: one running hat and one everyday snapback hat. More information about the club will be rolling out this fall, but who doesn’t love a good hat?
$36 for each hat, or $65 for both — discount applies automatically. Think of this as a way to support D3 Glory Days, and you get an awesome hat as a thank you.
