"I don't think previous results really can predict future returns."

Josh Kalapos crossed the Berlin Marathon finish line and his watch showed 2:18:01. He had to go find someone for the officials results before he saw it: 2:18:00. Right at the Olympic Trials qualification mark.

This makes Josh the last man in.

Josh experienced the highs and lows in college. One of his best moments was winning the UAA Indoor 5k. The low was ending his senior track season on a broken tibula.

When he moved to Boston to work at Amazon Robotics after graduation, his friends randomly ran a marathon. This sparked Josh's marathon journey.

He jumped into a half marathon and ran 66 minutes which gave him the confidence to go after the OTQ.

He's been training with the BAA and believes there is more in the tank than his 2:18 shows.

Josh has the confidence to take big swings and is excited to see what he can do.
